A roadmap is a communication artefact, not a schedule. Its job is to tell people what you are betting on and roughly when, without pretending to a precision you do not have.
Dates get firmer as things get nearer. A roadmap that gives Q4 the same confidence as next sprint is lying to somebody, usually the person who wrote it.
