A vision is the thing that stays fixed while the roadmap moves. It should be specific enough to rule things out.
If every plausible feature fits inside your vision, it is not a vision — it is a mood. The test is whether it lets you say no to something attractive.
In practice: Makerz Network
The vision is to give makers largely free tools — goal setting, reminders, and a way to move between learning and doing without carrying the whole context in their head — and to build the marketplace where those makers learn by doing and join teams for paid work.
The deliberate part is what gets given away. Tools are getting cheaper to build every year, so they are treated as the way in rather than the thing sold, and the marketplace is where the business is. That is a vision doing its job: it rules out charging for the tools, which is the obvious and attractive move.
