Opportunity assessment

Research tells you the problem is real. An opportunity assessment asks whether it is worth your next quarter, which is a different question and the one most often skipped on the way from a good interview to a build.

Four things settle it: how many people have this problem, how badly, what solving it would cost, and why you rather than anybody else. A problem can be real, frequent and painful and still belong to somebody else.
