Finding your target customer

Matching a product to its customer is like fishing. Your product is the bait; the fish that bite are your actual market, which is not always the one you were aiming at.

You can hypothesise all you like, but you do not know who your customers are until something is in the water. Build the hypothesis, then let reality correct it — and pay particular attention when the wrong kind of person is enthusiastic. That is data, not noise.
